Will be getting my iPhone today and fingers crossed I can unlock it and run my Optus Sim.

I have found some tutorials on the web, but would appreciate if anyone can reccomend any tutorials for me.

I will be trying to unlock the 1.1.1 firmware.

Yeah it was a good price.

I used it all today and the battery is still 70% full.

Watched part of a movie, listened to music, sent msg's and made a tone of calls.
    No issues with battery life.

I think there are many more Aussies here: http://forums.mactalk.com.au/

    Cya!

From what i have heard, the iphone will be around the $800aus mark when it is released here.

By that stage though, I think there will be a new iphone on the market.

Im loving the phone though... Seems everyone else does too!
