So I was replacing a front assembly today on an iPhone 3G. I take it apart and all and put it back to together with the new front glass and bezel and home button. But the home button didn't work. So I compared the two (new to old) and the new one had shorter home button connection points (where the the pressed signal is sent through, aka the contact points to the board). The old one was shaped like a "7" kind of and the new one was shaped like these tiny humps. Explanation anyone?

Bump. It's been a day less than a month and no answer.

Does it still not work? Are you sure it's all connected correctly?

Try to flex them a little strait to make them connect better.
