I was wondering if the Apple iPhone headset works (not only the mic but even the play/pause & skip function) with iPod Touch and 1.1.3 firmware.

I mean the standard iPhone earphones that have a mic and a button for play/pause/skip built in.

This is very interesting. Maybe Apple wants, that everybody should buy the Microfone by Apple, not by Touchmods, although it is still not officially, but one reason it would be ^^

Sry for my bad english, i'm a german guy^^

The iPhone headphones use a standard 3.5mm jack. Simply the iPhone socket is not very accessible

No. The iPhone headphones have an extra line for the line in for the mic. That is a hardware issue, and not something that can be fixed by a software update.

this could be done, however touchmods would probably be the right people to do it. if they use the mic they built and put a 3.5 mm jack inplace of the mic with audio out (you can get audio out through the dock connector) we could use the standard iphone headphones!
