PSP- GTA Liberty City Stories, Vice City Stories
    Nintendo DS- GTA Chinatown Wars
    iPod Touch and iPhone- ????

Does anyone have any info about an iPod Touch GTA? We've got payback but R* would pown that in every way possible. I know an analysist said something about a port of Chinatown Wars, but we know that wont happen.

i dont think games on the ipod touch are a good thing
and my games i mean like REAL games, not tap tap revenge or fastlane...

I don't think first person shooters on the ipod are good in general, that's for xbox, where you have a real controller. the ipod is just for simple little fun games. keep it that way.

Okay I understand your point of view but what about Hero of Sparta, Brothers in Arms: Hour of Heroes, upcoming Terminator Salvation and Assassins Creed?

The processor couldn't handle graphics like in GTA.
It would have to be a top-view version, and people would then be dissapointed.

Hold up. The processor of the iPod Touch 2G is 512MHz. The PSP has 333MHz and it ran a regular GTA. That means the iPod Touch could do it easily. Even the iPhone, iPod Touch 1G, and iPhone 3Gs 412MHz processor beat it

Can a game utilize all of the CPU though and what about RAM?

RAM must be added into the equation as well. It could eventually be done, but even payback was having trouble with glitches in their original release. A large free-roam world would make for a pretty big app.

Thanks I got it a few weeks back and like it. I still want a GTA though.

Thats true. I dont know how much RAM the PSP has. However you said, "A large free-roam world would make for a pretty big app." Well that sounds like your getting into game size not required running memory. I have a 400+ MB app called Alternate Endings.

RAM should be fine, the iPhone brothers have 128 MB of RAM and I have 40MB free almost all of the time.

I don't think people would be disappointed. China Wars did pretty good.
