Hi I was going to get an iPhone and I was wondering if you could unlock it so that it works for Verizon. I heard that Verison uses CDMA or something but the I heard that the new iPhone could be used for Verizon.

Also how do you go about unlocking it? I thought you just jailbreak it, and add the ultrasnow repo in Cydia?

We don't know if the iPhone will ever come to Verizon........

And to unlock it you do just what you said.

Dang alright thanks. I've seen videos on it but I can't really trust them because they could just change the carrier name.

    Ok cool thanks a lot

But the 3GS only uses Ultrasnow right? 3G uses Yellowsnow?

note: if you unlock it the only other carrier you will be able to use is T-mobile because of the similar GSM network AT&T also has. verizon won't work.

No, it will not work. It required a SIM card, and Verizon doesn't use SIM cards.

    I hope it never comes to verizon, I'm paying a lot of $$$ ($70/month) for my iPhone....and I'm only 14, so it's not like I can switch since I don't have a job...=/

I doubt it'll happen because Apple is too lazy to make a CDMA version of the iPhone
