what do you think? I personally really want this
No. They wan't iPad apps to stand out, and be iPad unique.
but their iphone sales will go down because all the good games will only go to ipad
Highly doubt that. People buy iPhone for a PORTABLE phone which is know for quality, and the selection of apps. In no way will iPhones be replaced by iPads.
plus it wont be possible ... with the all new A4 chip in the iPad it wouldn't be as easy as simply making the picture smaller. The processors are wayyy better and more intense so the iphones and ipod touches alike wouldnt be able to handle it
Can the iPhone handle that chip?
no lol thats what i said the processor meaning the A4 chip are too intense for the iphone
Do I want apple to downscale iPad apps? Yes.
Do I think apple will downscale iPad apps? No.
For the iPad apps, they'll have much more stuff packed into that big screen, so resizing it will probably look horrible on and iPod touch or iPhone.
Downscaling will never happen. Like I said in another thread, if the apps are designed for a 9.7" screen, resizing them for a 3.5" screen, everything will become TINY. It's fine for them to resize something that was made for a 3.5" screen to a 9.7" screen because everything just gets bigger.
The other problem, as pointed out, is simple performance.
You make a game that pushes that 1 GHz processor, it just...won't work on an iPhone. We will probably see quite a few apps with versions for both platforms, but you just won't be able to downscale them, it wouldn't even be possible if Apple wants to do it.
