I just applied for the iPhone Standard Developer Program ($99), and I was wondering a few questions, for those of you who are devs.
    a) How long does it take for Apple to recognize you as a Developer
    b) Do they ship you anything (certificate, etc...)?
    c) How do you sign code for use on iPod touch
    d) Have you submitted anything to the App Store?

    Thanks...

    a) It only took a few minutes for Apple to accept me.
    b) You have to build your own certificates.
    c) XCode will codesign when it builds.
    d) You can find things I've worked on in the AppStore, although nothing solely by me yet.

well, i got accepted almost immediately. maybe 10 minutes. max. the part you have to wait for is for your contract to submit paid applications to appstore to be approved.

you go through a process explained in your developer portal to build the developer and distribution certificates.

as for shipping, they ship you a little package that is just "generic order processing".

xcode uses the mac os x codesign tool to sign them for you when you build them for iphone-os

i have a few ready, but im waiting for my contract to be accepted
