iPhone Deal.?

    My friend is willing2 sell his iPhone for 250$. Because he is gonna cancel his contract. Is this a good deal?

    its 8gig. And its in a good condition.
    But is thier a way2 unlock it without the sim, so i can use it before i sell it?

    ya im pretty sure yellowsnow will do the trick.
    all though i am not 100 percent sure as i dont keep up with all the latest iphone stuff.

    also, if you have the latest baseband, probably dont but just in case, you cannot unlock it, or so ive read.

    How much would a used iPhone go for on ebay?
    By baseband you mean the firmware? the version right?

    what iphone version is it??
    the old iphones usually go for at least 300.
    the new iphones, the iphones 3g, go for about 400-500.

    and baseband is the modem firmware of an iphone.
    it is what is "hacked" in order to achieve an unlocked iphone.
    you can go into Settings->General->About->Modem Firmware to see what the baseband is.
    i have no clue what the newest one is.

    edit: i think the newest baseband is 02.30.03

    a refurbed 8GB 1st/2nd gen sells right now for around $200....

    You might get a better deal on eBay
