Hello. I am visiting the UK this christmas and I want to buy an iPhone 3G. I do not want the contract though, because it will be useless when I return home. Is there a way to cancel or not get the contract? I searched the forum and I read that if you buy the iPhone from the Apple Store, you don't have to get an O2 contract. Is this possible? I want to use the iPhone with a pay-and-go SIM card, and I don't care about 3G or Edge. If I get the contract and then I cancel it, how much will it cost? Remember, I want to buy it from the UK.

    Thanks!

Correct me if I'm wrong, but I think 2.2 eliminated Turbo SIM cards.

Maybe it doesn't, but I have a strange thought that I read somewhere it wouldn't work anymore....
