Today when I had my iPhone 4S in my pocket, I felt it starting to overheat a bit. I thought nothing of it and just ignored it for an hour or two.

About three hours later, it started to get pretty warm - like when playing a 3D intense game or something.

I checked the battery level, and it had gone from 88% to 15%!!

I had NOTHING running in the background, and it was simply on standby doing NOTHING (or so I think).

Anybody else having/has had this problem?

    (P.S. I'm jailbroken on 5.0.1)

Well, this happened to me once.. I woke up once, touched my phone and it was burning hot, and was at 10% battery. When I checked SBS, it showed my memory to be at 15MB remaining (even after exiting stuff and rebooting. So I decided to find the cause. In my case it was a cydia related thing. Something had left uninstalled (no clue how), but I went through Cydia in Developer view, and cleaned up everything that I don't remember installing, taking care of the important stuff of course. That seemed to help out quite a bit. Now my memory is always at 275+ MB and it runs cool.

Tedious task, but worked for me :)

It happened to a friend of mine who had left music playing with the volume
turned way down (muted), and forgot to unmute after a phone call.
