Hi is it possible to install apps from the appstore made for the iPhone only on the iPod? I accidently bought an app which is only made for the iPhone and I want to use it on my iPod..... Is that possible?
It's a mobile usage app which just gets the stats from the internet so the iPod is more than capable

    Any help is greatly appreciated

    yes

if you need a microphone for the app though you'll need the apple headphones with built-in microphone..
the apps should at least run on the ipod, if you can use them is another question cause the itouch doesnt have the exact same hardware the iphone has

Extract the .ipa by renaming it to .zip. Then inside the payload will be the application, called something.app. Then SSH that into your applications folder on your ipod, and set permissions to 777 ot 775 or something like that. Then respring.

couldn't that be considered as cracked app? because there was another thread where another user showed how to edit an .app to your liking, and did this extracting and .zip business.....

just wondering, but if not, the might as well give it a try.

why would you want to throw in an iPhone app anyway? if it requires the use of the mic or camera, there really is no point for an iPod Touch to use it.
