hi, my iphone is having problems. when i click on an application, it opens up to a white screen, and then closes. i'm not sure why it won't open any app. also, my iphone is really slow compared to it when it was not jailbroken. i'm going to install bosstools, but will that be enough to get it back up to speed?

Either fix permissions on the Apps or Restore.

iTunes can give back your Settings and contacts, depending how it's configured. Don't ask me the specifics-- I myself am not sure. What I can tell you is this: Last time I restored, iTunes offered to restore to a backup of my settings. This should work for you as well.
