I just got my iphone in singapore and tried the death grip. There were drops bars but it did not drop till there's no service. No drop calls experienced yet. So i think the antenna prob in Singapore is not a very big prob compared to other countries.

It depends on your iPhone. Mine does drop bars, but only to one. And my 3G EDGE or texts don't work yet so I'm very unsatisfied. But overall, it is the best phone.

Yeah I myself experience the drop bars. But I haven't had any issues with "No Service", I go down to one bar and that's it. I don't mind it, as long as I can send texts, look at my email, surf the net, or make phone calls I'm all good.

I don't know, I think I screwed something up. I kept restoring once it wouldn't let me text. Restored 5 times or more probably. Got mine on the first day (30th)

Check your network settings and see if Cellular Data is switched on. I didn't have 3G or EDGE active because it was switched off when I first activate my iPhone last week. The guy(who activated my iPhone) had told me that I must have had the 3G emblem/logo switched off. He said it as if my iPhone was jailbroken. Lol
