If you are on a Mac laptop with an ethernet internet connection:

Go to System Preferences -> Sharing ->Internet Sharing

    Share your connection from: Ethernet

    To Computers using: AirPort

On your iPhone go to Settings -> WiFi

Your computer name should be listed as a network choice.

That I have no idea about, I haven't owned a Windows since '02. All I did then was Microsoft Word and checking my Yahoo Mail.

Nowadays, I'm a Mac fanboy, sorry can't help ya there.
