I have a question if someone could answer. Ive always somehow had an upgrade available on my account and would always be able to get the contracted price for $299 (I go with the 32 gigs). This time around, I do not have an upgrade available. What is the price for an iphone 32gig without a contract? And Am I able to preorder it through Apples website or do I have to buy it at verizon's website without a contract?

Im just making sure I know all the facts before today so I can preorder. Im gettings this phone, Im just unsure how to buy it without a contract.

Since you are ineligible for an upgrade at the subsidized price (i.e. $299), you must simply buy the iPhone 5 for full price and you can use it with your existing plan just fine. It doesn't matter where you purchase the phone, so feel free to pre-order it from Apple's website or through Verizon Wireless. You could also buy it online from AT&T and Sprint at the stroke of midnight tonight, since you are buying the phone for full price and won't have to make any commitment to their networks. Good luck! :)

    P.S. - I believe the iPhone 5 in 32GB costs $799 at full price.

I'm on Verizon with an upgrade, should I order from the Apple site or the VerizonWireless site? Does it make a difference?

Order through Verizon to get the subsidized (lower) price that your upgrade entitles you to.

You're lucky you can get it for $800! The bottom line model for New Zealand will be around $1200.

Than stay on your 4S. It's still a top smartphone and will be for at least another year.
Though I don't know much about other states' contract conditions but I guess you don't get an update offer because you still have about one year left on contract. Then just wait another year for the iPhone 5S (guessing).

Subsidized is available through Apple's site, last I checked.
