I wonder if you'd REALLY need to "camp out".

I've walked up and waited in line (although I reserved one) for the 3GS AND the iPhone 4 the day they were released, the store by me (Victoria Gardens) opened at 6a.m, I got there by 4:30 and was on my way home with my phone by 7:00am, BOTH times. 2.5 hours isn't bad. But "camping", nah, no thanks!

So you were in line for nearly two hours.

Yeah, about 2 hours for each phone (3GS & iP4).

For one of the previous gens I just walked into town at 9am, went to a reseller, bought it and stuck it on eBay. None of this camping out rubbish.

Well I can't say the same with the i5... People these days... "I gotta have it!" or "Im going to be the first to get it!" Wild animals.. Next thing you know, people are in the hospital because they got trampled over for the reason being that customers had to wait another 2 to 4 weeks of shipment..

I will NOT spend a night (sleep) out in front of an Apple store for an iPhone LOL that's a bit overboard if you ask me. I mean, 2.5 hours is easily spent on two 2 minute roller coasters at magic mountain (on a busy weekend)

That's crazy! People are too impatient these days....I'm waiting until late November (or December) to get mine. I'll let the "buzz" die down.

Food is about the only thing worth camping out for. There is no way in hell I'd camp out for any product made on this earth. It's just not that serious.
