Apple emailed GIZMODO about the phone the other week, saying that they wan they phone back. They gave it back.

But what annoys me the most is that they probably have hundreds of iPhone 4G prototypes at Apple INC.

Let me know what you think?

It's about having a prototype out in the wild, not that they don't have any left.

So if you had loads of cars at your house, you wouldn't mind if I came and took one? Awesome.

    Nice analogy.

    Can I have one too?

OT: Its about having a prototype analyzed over every detail many times by people who aren't supposed to see it yet is whats the problem. They set a reveal date for a reason.

It belonged to Apple and this has never happened to Apple before. A prototype being lost. Apple is very secretive.

It's the fact that Apple's marketing revolves around keeping it's products secret until launch, preventing their competitors from getting a head start on them.

Obviously they wanted it back before anything else was derived from the phone.
