I'm trying to compare iPhone 4 and iPod touch 4th generation.

I have made a comparison table for the both iDevices.

The main point of doing this is that I'm very confused of making the decision to buy iPhone 4 or iPod touch.

And the comparisons that I've searched are all too simple.

iPhone has receptions problem, overheating, easy shattering iPhone glass.
I haven't heard of any problem on the iPod touch 4th gen.

The conflict to choose between iPt4 and iP4 is durability, and camera.
iPt4's cam sucks, iP4's cam rocks; iPt4 not much problems, iP4 damn.

After reading this table, please tell what what else I can add and which part I'm wrong. And which do you think I should buy, or wait for iPhone 5? :/

    Thank you xD

I'd say get the iPhone 4, the deathgrip is not really a major issue, just get a case. Apple will give you a free bumper if you have this problem. iPT4 has light leaks and other problems. But then after that is, do you need a phone? If you absolutely have no need for a phone, just get the iPod

You do realize the iPt4 has problems?
Check the sticky. If you have the cash take the phone.

The screens also differ. iPhone has IPS, iPod has LED backlit. They are both LCD though (IPS is a form of LCD).

And a small typo, you said the processor was underclocked from 1 to 800MHz (This translates to 1MHz to 800Mhz, which isn't underclocking at all; it's major overclocking). I think you meant to say 1GHz to 800MHz. Never forget units.

The iPod does have zoom, use "Tap to Expose" and you get the zoom bar on the bottom.

iPhone has HDR be default (iPod doesn't but there are ways

I don't but I do need SMS, and internet everywhere, which needs a SIM slot.

    I've checked this:

5x zoom for iPt too, it's digital zoom or the lens really moves?

    Ty xD

I knew about the Bumper case...

I think light leaks are cool, I have a small one on my iPt3.

    What about the temperature resistance?
I've seen posts that about 25 deg Celsius of surrounding temperature, the iP4 get's overheated and locks itself.

    I wonder if it's true...

    Thanks for the reply

    Yea, less viewing angle.
But, there are problems like an easy shattering glass and temperature.

I don't get what you mean...
    "isn't underclocking"
I've went through articles and it's written that it's underclocked to save battery life and less oveerheating.

I'll add zoom in the table, thanks.
