629euro in France = 629euro in Ireland. Will this phone be used for the next 4-5 years? I truly need it and I want to know is it worth the price? will it be cheaper at my carrier's store?

I been needing a new phone and ipod and for £209 its great of coruse i have the contract to keep up but its less of a sting if you fork out £500 for the phone and then credit.

But imo yeah its worth it, but only if you need it

If you wont you could always wait for iPod4 see if its like the iPhone4 without the Phone, but i doubt it will be the same.

i've had my samsung slider and 1st gen ipod touch for 3 years now....so i'm definitely getting this phone when it comes out in canada.

As for longevity, if you take good care of it, 4,5 years shouldn't be too much of a stretch. but since i'm getting the iphone 4 with contract, i'll end up getting another new iphone 6(?) when it comes out 2 years later with my contract ending. And if you get your iphone with contract, i would imagine the same thing (although i don't know how long contracts last outside north america)

Yeah it would definitely be worth it.
I can't wait to get my hands on one, but I don't think Apple has even breathed a word about when it will be released in Australia.

The iPhone 4 will not be supported in 4-5 years without a doubt.

For 4-5 years, no you won't use this phone for that long. You won't use any phone for that long. It will be outdated, and unsupported. For 2 years on a contract though, yes it will be still good.
