Sadly.. less than 10 days after buying it.. I dropped my new iphone 4.

I have a silicon case on it which fully covers the back, but it didn't help as much as I'd hope. The touchscreen and front display is untouched and the sides are good, yet the back glass is cracked all over. Everything seems to be working, but I want to get the glass fixed if possible. Can I do that through AT&T or do I have to call apple for this?

I know dropping a phone isn't covered under warrenty, so about how much should it cost for a new back plate?

Check the who and what is covered in warrenty thread.

I am pretty sure that accidental damage is not covered but check.

I read the top whoops, it should cost 100-120. Cheap...to apple. I am extremely careful.

    That's a stupid thing to say ^

you: it ha the antenna problem

apple: 1) we know and don't offer refunds for that 2) you cracked the glass too which voids your warranty *sends unit back*

don't listen to this bs lol antenna & cracked glass == 2 different issues - Steve clearly said, you can if you're unhappy with the antenna issue - you can return the handset (undamaged) within 30 days)

there's some1 else on here that had the same problem, and some1 posted a ebay link so he can buy the back and replace it - much better idea than going for the antenna issue

You could try, but from what I know the only reason it was replaced was because he was one of the first 50 person to report a physically damaged Iphone 4. Apparently apple replaces the first 50 for free, because they take those and run test on them, for future versions of Iphones.

it says it's original so should be fine - you can always return it if it looks different
