    Hi ppl,

I'm thinking of getting my 1st iphone... IP4.
I'm only concerned abt the music quality.

I had the ipod touch 2G and the bass quality was not deep at all.

How's the bass and audio quality on the iphone 4? is it deeper?

I know that getting better ear phones will make it sound better but just wanna know the bass quality of the iphone with normal earphones for comparison.

    Thanx in advance guys

If you are using the supplied earphones, that's your main problem.

The Apple earphones and most cheap ones are rubbish for bass and will have more to do with sound issues than the ipod itself.

I just got myself a pair of Sennheiser MX 660 and the sound quality is amazing compared to the Apple ones (including decent bass).

Unfortunately I cannot give a comparison to my 80GB classic because my music is set to automatically recode to 128kbps AAC on the iPhone since I need the space and only use the phone for casual listening on the go.

I can't shout for the 4's sound quality but the bass using skullcandy headphones on my 3GS is great so i assume the 4 should be the same or better

its the headphones / music quality[like 128 - 320, though rlly you cant tell to much of a difference most of the time ]. the sound quality is just as great as any other mp3 player ive had/used.

The speakers are better than the 3g though, which is nice.

thanx for all the replies guys. Helped a lot.

@gavinfabl - thanx for the link. learnt some new things abt ear phones!

I finally bought the iphone 4 yest. The music quality has really improved compared to the previous iphone / ipod touch versions. Bass is deeper and sound clarity is much better. I'm using creative in-ear earphones and it sounds great with that.

Mite wanna buy the SRS iWOW module for my iphone. The sound effects from SRS wow in my Omnia 2 was great. Pretty sure it'll be great in the iphone as well.
