Many of u might have already seen this but its just a comparison of all the iPhone generations in its speed in loading things. As you can see, the iPhone 4 doesn't win it all...

When loading the game Plants and Zombies, it seems like they load in order of generation, with the iPhone 4 loading first, then the 3Gs and so on...

Loading Google Earth; Again, iPhone 4 loaded the fastest and then the 3Gs and then the 3G and the 2 afterwards.

When loading Seadragon, there was the same chronological result.

When Sky News was loaded, the iPhone 4 loaded first with the 3Gs right behind and the 3G and 2 tied on it.

When yahoo.com was visited through safari, the same chronological result was encountered with the iPhone 4 and 3Gs having rather faster speeds than the 3G and 2, as expected.

Here comes the twist, on shutdown times, we see that the iPhone 2 had the fastest time while the iPhone was trailing behind......

On startup times, again, the iPHone 4 did not win. The iPhone 3Gs started up the fastest and the iPHone 4 came after that and then came the iPhone 3G. The iPhone 2 came trailing behind with 59.3s.

That could be a bit of a road bump in these tests

Yes, thats true, that could be one of the causes.... Maybe a better test would be to restore all the phones and then test it.
