    I've been thinking about selling my iPod Touch 4 (32gb) and getting an iPhone 3GS (I'm hating the Lumia 710 I got when I re-upped my contract) and was wondering what you guys thought?

    Note that I use my iPod solely for music, social networking, and safari when I'm too lazy to grab my MacBook.

    Well, it may be slow, but if you don't use it for gaming you should be fine, go with the 3GS or even better the 4

    As far as I've heard the 3gs runs 5.x smoother than the iPod. Go for it.

    Try and buy an iPhone 4 with the money I would get from an iPod touch 4... is that even possible without getting jipped?

    You probably don't have enough, but you'd be silly not to save the extra $100 to $200 to get the iPhone 4 or 4S. Trust me, huge difference. You'll be going back to a non-Retina screen iPhone that might not make the jump to iOS 6.

    The hardware in 3rd and 4th generation devices is very similar. There should be no noticeable speed difference between the two. Games should actually run better on the 3GS.

    Shouldn't the 600MHz processor in the 3GS lead to slowdown compared to the 1GHz in the iPod?
