Hi , I have a quick question . I bought a iPhone 3gs Fido locked. I want to unlock the phone but I cant seem to find a jailbreak that is compatible with my phone . I unboxed it with a 4.0.2 . I read that the easiest way to jailbreak is by using jailbreakme.com . Unfortunately it is impossible on a 3gs running 4.0.2 . Doing more reading I found that downgrading 4.0.2 to 4.0.1 or 4.0 would fix my problem . Sadly , i read that I needed to have sauriks shsh source on my phone to be able to edit the info to enable myself to sucessfully achieve the downgrade . Is there any possible way for me to jailbreak my phone which would let me unlock it ? Any help would be greatly appreciated . Thanks a lot

Was it used or new?? If used, you could check with Cydia to see if the past owner jailbroke it! You might be lucky and find a older firmwares shsh blobs backed up. XD Just a shot.

4.0.2 fixed the exploit jailbreakme.com used to jailbreak iphones, so you can't use jailbreakme, but I doubt there'll be a new jailbreak until 4.1 is released.
