Can I jailbreak my iPhone with pwnage tool? It has 3.1.2 out of the box with the new boot rom. Will a pwnagetool jailbreak work?

I believe it will work for you but blackra1n is much easier and faster to use.

Hmm... I don't know about PwnageTool with the newest Boot ROM.

    I'd go with BlackRa1n.
I'm assuming that you know it'll be tethered since you stated you have the new Boot ROM.

I've used blackra1n and I'm not a fan (no offense to geohotz) but every time I've used it I've had carrier problems. Why not give pwnage tool a go?

BTW blackra1n on my iPod touch 2g was great. But I preferred to use pwnage tool.

I guess I was in error in my first post; Pwnage Tool will not work with the new iBoot version.

Thanks for clearing it up. Maybe I'll try the new redsn0w 0.9 beta
