    WiMAX?

    I read here: http://venturebeat.com/2008/06/06/firmware-leak-firms-up-3g-iphone-specs/

I am in the greater Portland, OR area, where clear.com offers WiMAX.

I understand WiMAX is also in Boston, MA.

Not sure but I am thinking no (at least not that easily)....

The clear.com stuff is only available for Windows XP (32-bit I think). That is not exactly the reason it couldn't work but I think it might be a lot of work...

It would be really cool to get it to work but the WiMax has a fairly small coverage area. That's not to say it can't work but I doubt too many people will want to work on something they can't exactly use.

I too am in the greater portland area, I'm getting very pissed off at all their commercials and billboards. I'm pretty sure that wouldn't work until 3.0 if anything. You would need to get a USB adapter to work with it and then a application that allows you to browse the internet, use email and maps all within the application. Would be somewhat difficult. But it is possible.
