Well think about it, if the pay as you go contract runs out (ie. Skipping the payment) you don't have to pay any Termination fee and your phone is still activated (I'm guessing)

Isn't this with a contract? i hope they only charge £100ish. Usuall PAYG phones are stupidly expensive on PAYG compaired to contract tho.

Are you all stupid? The whole point of PAYG is so that you don't have to have a contract.

A PAYG contract is an oxymoron.

Of course the handset will be more expensive if you get it on PAYG.

It will be more expensive than the contract iPhone obviously.

When you buy an iPhone on contract not only are O2 getting £99 then, they're getting a consistent monthly supply of cash from you too (£30ish i think) over a period of 18 months. However, on pay as you go they're getting the £99 then thats it, the rest isn't guaranteed - some people may top up as little as a fiver every few months. So, O2 will have to raise the price of the PAYG iPhone to make it worth their while.
