I don't understand your question. You can use Navigon without internet access anyway so you can use it on an jailbroken phone. Even if you needed internet access, I don't see why it wouldn't work.

The iPhone isnt just a straight GPS, it uses something called Assisted GPS. This means it uses cell towers as well as a GPS chip to determine your location. A result of this is better performance in GPS, but you can only use it when you on 3G/EDGE.

Dude, can you read? Assisted GPS = GPS chip + Internet (Edge or 3G). End of story. Don't want to be harsh, but your question was answered twice.

    erm

yes, you can use navigon without internet, my dad uses it without internet on t-mobile and it works very well. i dont know what these guys are saying, yes it probably would be better with internet but it actually works perfectly without it.

The iphone 3G has build in GPS, proper GPS, which is sometimes, when needed, assisted by cell towers and 3G, however this isnt NEEDED. the GPS works absolutely fine on navigon without any type of cell connection. You would rack up incredible data usages if when using navigon you were constantly connected to 3G, EDGE and GPRS
