    1. my family is on verizon and i heard that verizon has no sim cards is this true? If so can i still use it on verison?

    2. How much will it cost to have 3g?

    3. Will I have to buy one thats on 0.28 or can i downgrade?

    4. can I use firmware 2.2.1?

    5. can it be jailbroken??

    6. whats the difference btw unlocking/activation?

iPhone would not work with verizon, regardless if they had SIM cards or not (Not sure). Verizon is not a GSM (believe its CDMA?). That means they communicate with the cell tower at different frequencies. The iPhones hardware would never be able to support it.

Any GSM provider (such as ROGERS, which I use, O2, T-MOBILE, or AT&T) will work, as long as you are unlocked.

there are rumors about a new iphone model that supports CDMA and will be with Verizon. but hey, thats the internet.

if you do want one, sign up with AT&T or with T-Mobile (preferably AT&T).

    1. my family is on verizon and i heard that verizon has no sim cards is this true? If so can i still use it on verison? No, N/A

    2. How much will it cost to have 3g? $299 for a 8GB with contract, $699 without contract

    3. Will I have to buy one thats on 0.28 or can i downgrade? Baseband? You can't downgrade and the Dev Team is working on an update for Yellowsn0w (the unlocker) so you will have to go with AT&T.

    4. can I use firmware 2.2.1? Yes

    5. can it be jailbroken?? Yes

    6. whats the difference btw unlocking/activation? Unlocking is allowing it to use any hardware compatible network, activation is activating it on a network.

are you sure they're going to have no-contract iPhones for 699? i could've sworn that the price was higher.

    Currently, the 8GB w/o a 2 year agreement is $599. The 16GB(White or Black) w/o the 2 year agreement is $699
