iPhone 3G iPhone 3g baseband is 02.30.03

    No. Unless you find some way to downgrade the baseband, there isn't a way to unlock it.

    There's an app in Cydia that can downgrade your Baseband

    But it's only if you have the old bootloader

    You can downgrade .30 to .28 if you have an earlier baseband (pre-September 2008 manufacture I believe).

    Is there the possibility that they'll be a downgrade available for bootloader 5.9 with 02.30.03?

    I guess they're working on the next firmware, same question applies really, what are the odds that eventually I won't have a locked phone?

    The odds are fair. These things just take time and persistence. The DevTeam will be working on it and if its possible they'll probably find a solution. WHo knows how long it will take and they probably won't be saying anything until after the new iPhone release this June.
