its simple... update, get some apps that will keep u busy for a week or two till pwnage tool comes out then u can enjoy both (update to 2.0 though)
So I updated my iTunes to 7.7 last night and then today went to update my Touch to the new iPhone 2.0 software update. But it is saying server error, etc. I went to your link and downloaded it and when i went to set it up, my Touch crashed and forced me into restoring and losing all music, videos, and the Jan. update. Help??
Pitt: your problem is with Apple. Their servers (as their 3G iphone supplies) were not up to the task of the massive demand we all knew would happen today. Just wait a few hours... ------------------double post merged------------------ Wait, so what exactly will the pwnage tool do? Are we going to JB 2.0? Or is it a way to install the firmware update without un-JB'ing my touch? I too, am trepidacious like everyone else. I sure as heck don't want to start using apps (and lose my old ones) only to find out I can't get back the ones I JB'd for in the first place!!! Can someone explain pwnage and what exactly it will do for us (once its released)?
free i got my 2.0 F.W. for free, it works fully, screw jailbreak, kills battery and slows it down. iPod touch=God Machine
you used the 5A345 update right? i heard the 5A347 was just for developers and included some unnecessary code i downloaded the ipod touch 5A345 off of the internet and its just sitting on my hard drive while i decide whether or not to upgrade
ummm simple enough. Your trying to update an iPot with the iPhone software... theres your problem get the iPod version and try again. We can not post link to it here, so dont ask.
