My power button is stuck, for one of two reasons.

-damage to the case around the button is causing it to not fit. I have the case off and I can push the power button up but when I push it down it gets stuck again.

-the part that pushes the button back up after it is depressed (that little wire?) isn't working.

    How should I fix this?

Take it to apple. Oh wait, your jail broken. Hmm. It still works though, right? Even though it gets stuck?

He could restore and it'll be non-jailbroken. So he can still take it to apple, BUT if it doesnt have warranty than he has to pay apple to fix it

Well this isn't my iPod. I just bought this to fix and resell.

Supposedly it's jailbroken and unlocked, but I don't know. Since the power button is stuck down it keeps cycling on-off-on-off and I just get the boot screen till the battery dies.

I think I'm going to try and file down the power button somehow so it fits through the hole again (assuming that's my problem).
