Hi there, not sure what I should do. I have a ipod touch , I left it on the window sill and it got damp. I left it as advise in airing cupboard to dry out for a week. I can plug it in to I Tunes and it is reconized , even syncing it. But My screen reamains white. I have tried different optoins, holding down the home key and stuff like that. It still remains white. With some times faint black lines although I am told this is normal to see on a white screen. The head phone Jack is black so I assume it isnt fried. I have noticed some peope have mention dfu mode, would try as long as given step by step instructions.
I have to fix the ipod as it is a sentimental item that belinged to some one who passed away 18 months ago and I would be devastated if I couldnt fix it. I have contacted Apple and I have heard some bad rereports from others who have returned their ipods to apple. So I only want to do this as a last resort. A big thank you in advance.

Well it's water damage. You'll have to pay apple to fix it.
