Just received this email - it's out of the bag Mr Jobs!:
Well, that is indeed interesting news... If Crosswords is already such a popular game on the small screens of the iPod touch and iPhone, imagine playing it on the larger Tablet... Please Register or Log in to view images

Either that or it's a very clever marketing ploy by that company to get their brand/name around... even by spreading false rumours...
I'd never heard of them... now we ALL have Please Register or Log in to view images
Good point there... Still, the Crossword game by Stand Alone isn't exactly on the "cheap" side... It costs USD9.99 actually, quite a heavy sum for such a game...
I don't see all the hype about working crosswords on a shiny new tablet computer and a $10 app.
Good point. There are some wily marketing ploys made by the more unscrupulous App Store devs. This could well be one of them. I doubt such an unknown company would have been provided information by Apple ahead of the game - and if they had been they wouldn't be talking about it!
Well, I can safely say that the head honcho of this Stand Alone Inc. dev must be maximizing the hype over the Tablet launch just to grow his company's reputation in the iTunes marketplace...
Very good tactic, but not sure about the ethics though... Seems very "opportunistic" to me...
Oh god.. iPad. If it really is called that, this'll get more giggles than the Wii did when it first came out..
It won't be called iPad, that would be mispronounced by German speakers as iPed so would sound aweful. I still reckon it's gonna be called the Applet.
