Just curious guys, is there an option I turn on, or is it automatic? I know it has to be over wifi but so far they don't seem HD'ish to me.

I think if 720p is available it will auto play the video in 720p.

I think so too, I haven't seen any option or button for the quality.

Thanks for the replies guys, yeah it seems that it's automatic, wish there was an option to turn it off and on. That way people who do want to wait for HD videos to load can turn it off and people who want to see the difference can turn it in and off, etc.

can you log into your youtube account from the ipad's youtube video app? if you can theres a setting in your account settings to either play the crappiest by default or the best, plus only some youtube videos are available through the app for some reason, at least on the touch.

You can log in, but I think only for checking out your own videos or your subscriptions. There is no option for setting quality or anything else of the sort. Then again, I find that HD clips on Youtube are pretty few and far between. They don't activate unless the profiles fit perfectly with what the iPad supports. Most of the time, it's just HQ videos.
