Does anyone know if the iPad VGA dock connector will work on the ipod touch 3rd gen? I know there are AV component/composite options.

Also, how well does the AV resolution look on an HDTV?

No. You'll get a message on your iPod touch saying that the accessory is not supported.

So I am thinking about just forgetting about using this cable. I think I have another option. Supposedly this "InFocus COMPONENT TO VESA ADAPTER" will let you connect an Ipod touch to a projector.

I assume that if it will let you connect to a projector that it will let you connect to a computer monitor's vga port as well. Also I read some reviews on amazon about this cable and the reviews there said that this cable allowed them to connect a blu-ray player into their projector as well.

I am just mentioning these things because I read earlier in the day about a cable I was looking at and there were issues with using that specified cable to a computer monitor. I hope I don't run into any issues going from ipod component out cable to this cable.
