Would I buy it? It depends on the specs and the price.

If it's essentially the same as a third genration iPad in a 7" form factor and cost around $250, then absolutely. It would be a great replacement for my Nook Color and my iPod Touch.

I'd buy it. And an iPod touch (or an unlocked iPhone). I'd love the smaller size and increased portability. It's not so much the screen that id care about, but the portability and functionality if the device.

No it will NEVER be replacing the iPod touch...

We already have one, it's this new thing that came out a few years ago, it's called the iPod Touch.

Sent automagically using my iPod Touch 4G, running iOS 5.1.1 and jailbroken with Redsn0w, Goofy Yupk!

I don't see this almost 8" iPod Touch XL replacing the regular iPod Touch. If this is in fact a new size iDevice, it has other markets to fill - restaurant menus, musical instruments, DJ mixers, News Readers etc. I dont see it replacing anything other than the competitions' smaller only things. But we still don't know enough about how much storage will be allowed and how much power this iDevice shall have to make an informed opinion on if iPad owners would also buy them. I'm more interested in the next 128GB (i hope) iPod Touch than I am in this thing.

Don't think it'll be the price of the $200 quad core nexus

If the price was right, I would buy it. $500 for a 10" tablet is just way too high for me. But, shrink down the physical size of the tablet and sell it for half the price, I'm there!

Im not worried about this replacing the iPod Touch just because the iPod Touch has become kind of irrelevant. I would rather use a 7" screen to watch movies, play games and do everything else than do the same thing on a 3.5" screen.
