Since there is no "drive" to upload to, how will I be able to upload and download my documents etc. to and from the iPad?

Yeah, I was thinking that, but it would be clunky for me. I mean I've got loads of documents that I need to reference, edit, and modify continually, and I imagine that most people who compute for work would be in a similar situation.

    Yeah, that sounds reasonable.

Up 'till now, Apple hasn't been too keen on that. I could live with that, but in the end, I wish they would just give us a way to input without limitations.
Ha, ha, I just realized that I am just grumpy about Apple being so proprietary. I mean, I know they want us to keep going back to iTunes so we will buy things from them, but no USB etc. just kills the whole laptop replacement idea.

It's an option. Apple never said you had to use it.

Sure, you're right. I just mean to say that constantly forcing you back to iTunes in the hope that you will buy something is a reason why they would not want to give a USB option.

Aside from the App Store, you don't haft to get anyhing else. 70% of the money made from apps goes to the developers.

There is a file sharing option in the iPad's settings
