Looks like some "crazy" people at SoundMan Car Audio in California as fitted an iPad into a Toyota Tacoma. The vehicle in question isn't really cool itself, but this sure gives a lot of help.

The iPad is fitted into a 9.7 inch molding in the dash, and is soon to be wired up to an Audison Bit One sound processor and a McIntosh MMC406M 6-channel amp.

Sitting in the dash with that massive black bezel against the grey interior might not be the most appealing to the eyes, but I would love to access all my media on the road, on that beautiful screen.

That look really cool. All you need is a navigator and you are set to drive. Hold on.

If you had one of those in your car, I have no doubt it'd be stolen within the first 3 days.

For sure. People break into cars to steal $100 GPS devices, I wonder how fast they'll break in after seeing an iPad in there.

    Um common sense...

When leaving the car. Hide the device in your car or take it with you. f you have a wife with a huge purse stuff it in there. You boys that have suitcases? Shove that in there.

BAM I've encountered a solution to your problems

I thought it wasn't removable, at least to me it doesn't look like a removable device.

I see that also. In the video they do not show them putting it in, but they do show installing that panel first, without the iPad in it.

For the price of that mod and the iPad itself, it better be removable.
