That's pretty cool. I must admit I do use my iPad more than my computer haha.

If anyone is thinking that iPad replaces a netbook/laptop then the world is going to end soon

Well, most people who buy ipads already have a laptop/personal computer, I'm choosing an asus 1215n over one, more practical for college.

Yup, I think it's more of a "I could hang on to my laptop for a few more years, and just get an iPad instead of upgrading"

In actual real-world use, I doubt that the iPad is cutting laptop usage by the same 50%.

In my book an iPad will never replace a laptop, I'm not just referring to the software but the fact that the hardware I found uncomfortable to hold/use when I tried it in a shop.

I'll just stick with my iPhone and laptop. For £400 I can get a 15" laptop which can run half life 2 on high, run hd video, etc, etc.

There are just so many different laptops, the iPad can probably not even cut 1% of the sales of all of them everywhere together.

For me, there's no possible way my iPad would ever replace a laptop/PC. There's just way too many missing standard features. I don't want to buy a damn $30 adapter for every piece of external hardware I want to use. In doing so, the iPad would lose its portability.

How can someone even go from a PC with a full pledged operating system to an iPad running a glorified phone OS. That just doesn't make any sense. I'm sure they didn't account for the people who realized how feature lacking the product is and returned it...yeah that's it.

It'll never replace the PC considering you need one to use an iPad.
