I got my iPad 64GB wifi yesterday and this is the first time I have put it on charge (wall plug.) it is charging extremely slowly, it has done about 15 percent in over an hour!!!! Is this normal?

Idk about quicker but you can test the wall charge vs a computer to see which one is faster.
I dont have a wall charger but i thing the cpu is faster

Sortbob also make sure you use iPad wall charger that came with it not one for iPod touch. There is a difference in them. I made that mistake and the ipod touch charger is less watts so it charges slower. It won't charge your iPad connected to a pc either.

Your iPad will charge on the computer, it will charge very slowly though, and no, the iPod touch charger and the iPad one's are not different, they are exactly the same.

Nickswitz you need to get your facts right before you advise anyone.
The wallchargers are not the same.
The ipad charger is 5 volts at 2 amps. (10-watt)
The iphone & ipod chargers are 5 volts at 1 amp. (5-watt)
Both chargers will charge all devices but the ipad will charge slower with the 5-watt chargers.

A simple google search will show you this.

Do you mean the block or the cable? because both blocks I have work exactly the same speed, one is an iPod one, and one is an iPad one. Both charge the iPad at the same rate.
