    .

I'm not so worried about this as i have iphone to take photo's with and should be able to transfer across easily.

However, Do you think apple, or any company would create a smallish camera to attach to the bottom of iPad? seeing as the iPad can be viewed anyway, you can easily have it so the camera is on top, and you can probably have a smallish one so it doesn't stick out too much.

Another good point about having this instead of built in camera, is you can probably have one built on a pivert so it can face any direction and also have option for better quality cameras instead of having a fixed camera with low quality.

I'm not aware of any that would connect via the 30 pin port thing, but i'm sure it can easily be done and even if its not apple, a developer can create a dedicated app and have the accessory work within that? right?

I apologise if this makes no sense or is a waste of post. Just expressing some ideas and some good points about having no camera

It's plausible, given apple allows the app in the store.

Apple sells an external camera for the iPad. Or rather a "strange camera connection kit at $29."

How did I miss that I've been on that site looking for iPad cases :0

I think it's best having external cause like I said before you can easily upgrade it.

Well, seeing as it's upgradable... Pretty awesome. I reckon Apple just wanted to get the base price down to make it seem as if it's good value. Seems like the Apple iPad is going to turn out like the Archos 250. (You need to pay a lot more just to get the features you would naturally expect, while the base price is low.)

I heard some people saying about how if you did try and plug in a webcam that you would need drivers but if you read what it says on the iLuv website with the apparent iPad webcam, it states that the webcam is "Plug and play compatible for instant installation"

An external camera is great. You can easily upgrade it for a better version if apple decides to launch a another version.
