    Hey iPTF
This is my first post here, I put my 2 year old gaming PC up on kijiji and someone offered me a trade for a 16GB iPad.
I've already got a macbook and a few other older PC's kickin' around but my gaming PC is by far the fastest of all of them.
Is the iPad useful enough to justify this trade?
All I really did on the PC was MSN and facebook and that type of stuff, and I think my macbook can handle my photo editing and stuff like that.
    What do ya think?

It's not a replacement but for an outdated old pc why not.

I wouldn't really call it outdated, it's still a super fast rig that can run Crysis like its nothing at decent settings

    It's WiFI

Well, if MSN/Facebook (and web browsing, I'm assuming) are your main uses for your PC, then I think the iPad will be fine for you. But it also depends on the specs of your PC and whether you'll need it to play games.

I don't game anymore, I used to play CoD 4 a lot but then for some reason I got banned for hacking which sucked because I've never hacked in my life.
    But after that, nothing

I'm sure it works great but as far as it's value goes after a couple years it worth about nothing. Think of the iPad as a content consumption device.

Do you think it'd be a good idea to get rid of it now while I can still get something cool out of it rather than selling it in 2 years for like 200 bucks?

That's pretty much all electronics. No matter what it is. Whether it's a cellphone, mp3 player, tablet, laptop, computer, tv etc, it'll always decrease in value over time.

I'd say you trade for an iPad. Snce you already have a MacBook, an iPad will fit in nicely. I think you already know the trade-offs now that you are asking, so it should be fine.
