    If it works with one LED panel with no visual changes, why were there two in the first place?

    Maybe to make the display look brighter and more crisp. Honestly I don't know

    This would mean removing the back LED backlight that gives the iPad 3 the brighter screen than the iPad 2. Apples not doing that. Maybe they heard something but it was REALLY about the Mini-iPad.
