    OR they're both iPad 2's but one has a screen protector on lol. Watch SoldierKnowsBest's video on it, he spots out a few changes, theres no home button on the iPad 3 apparently and it might have a matte black type back

    Thicker is better in this case. Even more room for a bigger battery. I would love if my iPod were thicker and had a better battery.

    this does not mean better battery life whatsoever.

    It means same battery life with retina display and possibly 4g. These take a lot of power, so keeping the same battery life with these features is impressive.
