No one really knows. It may be called 2s since it's a minor upgrade to the iPad's physical exterior. They aren't really radically redesigning it like the old and the unibody MacBook Pro. It could be called the iPad 3 due to interior changes, though! Rumors say LTE is a possibility. And it will come with a retina display, twice the resolution of the previous iPad [2]'s display. So when the iPad 2s or iPad 3 comes out, it will be the tablet with the highest res screen out there. More rumors say it will have an A5x dual core processor. Honestly, who needs a quad-core in the iPad...a processor like the Transformer Prime. iOS runs great on the iPad with current specs. So it'll be faster. Etc. I recommend it. I mean...you can't really go wrong quality wise with it (BUT I DO SAY THAT it is a tablet/computer and it can have problems like any other tablet/computer). IMO, the iPad 2S doesn't sound half bad (as a name). If anything, it just feels nicer than the name iPad 3.
Contrary to knosseir, I think that iPad 2S sounds funny. I hope (and personally think that it will be, thank you Siri) it will be iPad 3.
I know, it is crazy for a quad core cpu inside an iPad. Heard on the radio once that there may be quad core phones!!
Who cares what it's called is the name going to make a difference, if Apple made an "iPad 3" that was Quad core had 2GB of ram, Retina display, 128GB internal storage, edge to edge display, NFC, 12mp Camera Back 8mp camera front, LTE. but it was called iPad Optimus Prime w/LTE, Retina Display, 12mp's and NFC (White 128gb Model) Would you still buy it?
