We recieved iPads [2's 32gb 3g] from the school i attend and were specifically asked not to jailbreak them.
How can i jailbreak it and not tip off the school?
I'm not a noob at jailbreaking ive been jailbreaking since i recieved my first iDevice, the iPhone 3G, in which i have had ipod 2,3 and 4th gens.
I want to set my ipad free without knowledge by anyone else at the college.
How can you tell if an iDevice is jailbroken [Ignore Cydia, shall i jailbreak i will hide icon]
and will the following profiles; (xxxxxxx College JSS Signing Certificate, MDM Profile, Self Service Web Clip and Exchange Setup) installed by the college detect it?
of course if my ipad is themed up to the nose it will be obvious but an app or two here or there would not be.
I dont care if we were asked not to, they dont want to be involved in piracy or damage them which i will do neither of, and neither will the jailbreak.
Please and thank you in advance :)

I suggest against it. If you're well known for jailbreaking at school, it won't take long for a snitch to contact the principal. If you were caught though, then the consequences would be harsh as well, I suppose.

But, for the heck of it, jailbreak, install what you need to, and hide Cydia via SBSettings so that no one may find it unless they searched for it in Spotlight Search. You could also delete Cydia using CyDelete, but that would leave the extension in Settings.

My iPad is so boring without teh Jailbreaks, im actually using my iPod more than it because my iPod is jailbroken :D
some dedicated apps for sites and small features i want are "jailbreak only" and are a necessity for my iLife :p thanks, but i will still need some more opinions :p

If you want opinions, most people would tell you not to do it. Those are the only two options you can take if you're desperate. Make sure you don't install anything that leaves extensions in Settings.

Install SBSettings and make the gesture something less obvious than swiping the status bar. The use SBSettings to hide whatever other icons, and disable the "PreferenceLoader" MobileSubstrate add-on to hide preference bundles from Settings.

do exactly wat valleyforge said, and also dont install things from cydia thatll make it obvious... for e.g 5 icon dock, or infini(...), barrel all that crap.. also anythings u download that make an icon on ur homescreen, hide the icons (duh) and dont put a theme!
