Using a modded 3.1.3, you can have iOS4 on the first gen ipod. First go to http://www.whited00r.com/custom/custom.html. It will ask you for a user and password. To get a user and password email "faq@whited00r.com". Write "windows user" in the subject. Write the same in the text. Its an automatic system so it will reply immetiatly. Login to the server and download the ipsw. Go into itunes. Click check for update while holding shift. Select the firmware. This firmware can do everything 4 can do exept folders. Once you have it installed on your ipod, it will automaticly add cydia. Download categories from cydia. You unofficially have 4.0 on your first gen!

Yeah this has been known for a while, everything included in that ipsw can be obtained manually via cydia on a fresh jailbreak of 3.1.3. But yeah, thanks for the info
