I've noticed since I updated to iOS 4.1 that my battery heats up almost as soon as I start to use it. Doesn't matter what I'm doing, it just starts grilling. Also, the battery loses 10% in not even a minute. Wtf?

i have the same problem with the heating, but my battery is amazing. it lasts forever.
If u continue having problems, you should get it replaced.

-walks into an Apple retail store- Hi, I'd like my battery replaced. As you can see, it turns on, but then heats- What? Oh, just ignore that "Cydia" app.

LOL... If it truly concerns then you can always restore to 4.1, then take it to the apple store and they'll be none the wise. Then jailbreak again after you get the battery looked at.

Just remembered a friend has a job at a tech repair building and is licensed to do repairs on all Apple products. I could ask him, probably for a discount, and he'll probably leave my NAND alone.

so you think it's because of Cydia, or because of the firmware?

No, that "...ignore that 'Cydia' app...." was referencing that my warranty doesn't allow me to have that. Also, no one would waltz up to an Appy employee and say, "Look at this awesome app!"

Ya sure? I did that twice. Both of the people I showed it to had Cydia on their iPhones

    If you restore to 4.1
Your iPod will be stock, i.e. No Cydia app to worry about.
Then take it in, get it serviced and jailbreak again when you get it back.
