I bet it's just going to be like this until next year when the Galaxy S4 comes out (or the next major Android phone in 2013) and then towards September/October (whenever the next iPhone comes out) iOS is going to rise again and then repeat.

I think it's just sad that so many people are fine with being locked down and limited in a mobile platform.

Its preference dude, Locked down and controlled isn't exactly a bad thing and it appeals to a wider range of audiences. It gives less headaches especially if its a mid tier android phone.

OT: Its just a cycle android rises and ios rises then rinse and repeat, nothing new

Just my personal opinion. If I pay money for a device, I damned well better be able to do whatever I want with it.

I agree. Like I said some people prefer simplicity. iOS has everything any non tech head wants and in a pretty, easy package. I understand the whole lack of features compared to Android. Cydia has me covered for that. The ecosystem and its simplicity is where its value is in the eyes of many, many people.

    different strokes for different folks

It's a shame when you can't have your Hello Kitty theme.
